We are going to hospital on tuesday for test results and possible diagnosis for dd who is 8 months.

She was in hospital for 2 weeks having lots of tests as they think she has some kind of blood vessel disorder, they said all the tests should be back by Tuesday.

We are hoping for a diagnosis so we know what we are dealing with but i am scared they are not going to know (as they have said they think it is something very rare or a new condition.

If something had come up on the tests would they have been in touch or is it standard procedure to not get in touch till your appt?

i don't know, i'm afraid, IME they make you wait, i know it's really hard though.

Unless it was something potentially life threatening and needed to be treated urgenty, I don't think they would phone you.

I hope your appointment gives you some answers.

I don't think they'd phone unless something was very urgent. They'd want to have the conversation face to face with lots of time for questions. Do you have someone who could go with you and take notes?

Hope tomorrow goes well. Take your notepad and all your questions.

As the others say, only if its urgent will they call.

I think they like to tell you face-to-face, and also so you can then ask questions.

Also, they might not have a diagnosis yet - it took them 18 months from first having problems for them to diagnose our dd2.

Best of luck.
