Left not knowing what right hand doing

Anyone else struggling with this ds has coulée differnent dx and at last count his Drs/physio etc spread out amongst 5 diffent hospitals and 8 sections within

No one knows quite what problem to put down to what dx then they might only look at that bit

We just had orthpeadic at Addenbrroks ANC there luke well could be down to the cp or the EDs or could be the chromsome problem there looking at so there not sure how to treat.He admits no exeperiancd in Eds so reluctant to treat so talking refer to someone with experiance of this at Gosh who of course won't have any experiance of Cp

then physio or someone else not copied in and then there not informed who says what and sadly our paed is crap so has no clue :(

I find it amazing that 2 departments can have offices next to each other - SALT and Dietician - and that one can't take the referral in to the other office and has to send it to the main hospital to come back. When it gets knocked back, due to insufficient information, they have to send it back to the main hospital, to send it back to the room next door, for them to write a letter back asking what more info they want........ if systems and responsibilities were clearly defined there would be more£ to spend on actually providing the support our DCs need. Rant over

I'm glad not just me I would love to get all the proffesionals involved in ds care in one roo
and question them and say oknow talk to each other not write via sectarys just open your mouth discuss ds it's not that hard

Roundthebend, you'd probably find that they didn't know what exactly each other's departments could do anyway. Perhaps you could suggest a training day for them all and use DS as a case sample - on condition that you were a fly on the wall!!
