Not really SN- but wasn' sure where to put this. And since music pleases the soul ... (and makes daily life easier to handle).

Click on the mercury music prize link . I grew up in the same village as one of the shortlisted artists (Seth Lakeman). Downloaded his album from itunes recently- it's very good. just right after a day of "urrrrrr pause urrrr".

Phwoaar, he looook gooood in that little photo. Will have to have a proper look/listen when not on "falling asleep" duty!

ha ha- he's younger than me. I'm sure his house had 2 staircases, but I know another house that had 2 staircases so maybe I'm dreaming that. My mum and dad are big folkies and know them from the village so have been listening to his family stuff for years.

Last time someone form the village that I grew up with was on the national news it was for murdering someone and dumping thier body nearby!!!
