Thinking of media stuff you have reminded me there was also a bit in the guardian on sat (not very IT literate, so don't know how to make a link to it Blush series is entitled "what I am really thinking" it was someone with a blue badge, and I thought it was a really good response to all the blue badge strop stuff that was on the MN main threads,

what I'm really thinking

We were nearly refused entry to a zoo last week. I asked for a disabled ticket (cheaper) and carers (free) - I have to bring a carer for ds1 if I am taking the other 2 boys out and she was also being paid by me.

They refused and said it was only for people who needed a carer to push them around. I pointed out that ds1 has higher rate mobility and a blue badge so he let us through.

But definitely a case of not 'looking' disabled enough.
