Ok, heres the story, dd1 is friends with this boy at school (thinks the world of him and they get on well), the boy has a brother who has just started school with dd1, the younger boy has slight brain damage which has caused behavioural problems, the mother never put anything in place for the child (no statement or 1:1) before he started school and keeps commenting on the fact dd2 has full 1:1 support (which i faught tooth and nail for), every day i get remarks from her about dd2.

So this morning the eldest comes to school with party invites and gave every child in the class an invite appart from dd1 Sad, i will now have a very upset dd1 when she gets home as she was sure that shwe would be invited as they are always playing together.

Am i rite in thinking that the mother is jelous of dd2's extra support and being a bitch by not inviting dd1?

I'm so angry and upset for dd1 Sad. I thought i had grown a thick skin but this has really got to me.

Sad

I would hate to think that this is the reason your DD1 didn't get an invite. How spiteful either way though.

5inthebed- i hope i am wrong, the mother even asked me about the price of the indoor play center last week as her son came to dd1's party. She got really sh*ty with me this morning because her son came home in dd2's t-shirt yesterday and she made some comment about her son being put with my daughter (like she is contageous), she's not the nicest of people but i have alway tried my best to be friendly with her.

What a bitch! Does she know both your DDs have ASD? Why would she be ok with DD1 but not DD2. Angry

Sorry she has spoilt your day.

Ineed2 · 07/09/2010 14:03

How vile, why are some people so horrid?Sad

Marne · 07/09/2010 16:26

She knows dd2 has ASD, i'm not sure if she knows dd1 has AS, she has always been fine with dd1 (up until she found out dd2 will be having full time 1:1). I'm trying not to let her get to me but i'm finding it hard. So far dd1 has not said anything about the party (fingers crossed she wont find out she's the only one not going).

Would it be that she might not know if your DD2 would cope at a party?

I'm not sure anyone will invite my DS once they see that he has 1:1 support at school.

Party invites are harsh. Sad

chocoholic · 07/09/2010 16:33

Sorry just re-read your post, you were talking about DD1 not DD2.

genieinabottle · 07/09/2010 17:40

What a cow. Sad I can't understand how someone could be so jealous and calleous.

I would totally ignore the woman from now on if it was me.
And if she makes any more comments about your DD2's 1:1, tell her like it is, that it just didn't fall onto your lap.

The mother knows the dd's can cope as she has seen them at other parties (at the same place), both of my dd's are well behaved (i would understand her not inviting them if they were naughty).

Next time she asks about dd2 i will tell her to mind her own buisness.

Well she is just being a cow then, possiblyjealous of what help your DD2 has been given.

Why does she not have anything in place for her DC? Is she afraid of admitting he is disabled?

Did you take your DD to their new house after school today? Smile

I offered her advice a while ago (befor her ds and my dd2 started school), i told her how to get a statement (when she told me how lucky i was to have a 1:1 for dd2), she just said 'its too late now, the school will have to sort it' Shock. All she does is put her son down all the time, telling people how naughty he is, using workds like 'little shit', i think he is a lovely little boy (a bit naughty but i have seen NT far worse). Dd2 gets a 1:1 because she rarely talks, doesn't understand instructions and has melt downs. I would love for her not to have to have a 1:1, i don't want my dd2 to have ASD but she does.

I always thought that it would be children being nasty to my dd's but its not, its the parents Sad.

5inthebed-i painted dd2's room today and secured the living room (stair gate) so i can take dd2 after school tomorrow. Hopefully i will finish her room tomorrow so i can supprise her (its very pink).
