ds1 keeps taking nappy / clothes off - any ideas?

My ds1 aged 9, severely autistic has just started taking off clothes and nappy in the house. He can do it several times an hour. Obviously annoying because I am sometimes not quick enough and he makes a mess everywhere. This is really stressing me out - any ideas?

No help, I'm afraid, but I'm hoping my 4 year old grows out of it, himself. Quite often, he does it because his nappy is at least a tiny bit wet and he wants it changing, which is all good. He appears to have started doing it when he needs a poo, though, which could be problematic if I'm not watching him like a hawk.

Fingers crossed its just a stage. Dd2 went through a stage of taking her nappy off a while ago but it only lasted a few weeks and then she gave up. I found putting her in dingarees helped (not sure if they do them for 9 year olds though). You could try sitting him on a toilet so he learns that 'if he wants his clothes off he needs to sit on the toilet'.
