I think I have the best friend in the world

haven't seen each other in ages and we got our families together yesterday.. Ds2s issues really stuck out like a sore thumb.. He was really well behaved but just so different from the other five dc's there.. Got all controlling, bossy, talked at everyone, flapped ans spun and demanded to know exactly what was going on etc etc.

She her DH and her dc's took it all in their stride.. Helped him when needed.. And at the end of the day told me what a great lad he was and gave me a huge hug.

Ds1 her ds1 both did scary teen ( her ds is metal head 6 foot and very scary with make up lol).. Glares at anyone who looked like they might be funny to ds2.. And the little ones ( the youngest who is just three).. All took him and got him to play.

Could have made me cry really because it was all so natural to everyone .. But he is just so so different :(

You're very lucky there, I wish I had such thoughtful friends.

I know I'm lucky.. it's a pain in the bum sometimes that I moved away from such a lovely support network.. So we don't get to see each other as often as we want to.

That is so lovely.

I had a similar moment the other day, my friend from work who hasn't seen DD for a long time saw her, and said goodbye to her by gently stroking her face, as she remembered that I had told her ages ago that they did that at nursery and DD liked it.
