I know this will not affect most of you, but remember other areas and other services could soon be affected.
My soon has been under the local Child Therapy service for a couple of years now for both Physio and Occupational therapy. He has help because of his coordination delays and problems; they go in to school and advise teachers etc.
Heard yesterday that the physio service is being withdrawn, due to lack of funds, mainly because the NHS Acute Trust say the NHS Primary Care Trust should pay for services, and vice versa, so as they can?t decide they are closing the service. It means that with immediate affect there will be no more physio for my son or other children who have similar problems. To make it worse they have still not officially told parents, I only know because I have been chasing the Physio for a report on Henry.
I urge anybody in the Wakefield/Pontefract area to PM me and I will give you the details of the man in charge of closing the service, if we all pester him we may get some where. I am going to phone him this morning and will let you know how I get on.
