Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

Completely logical requests that take your breath away with their bluntness :D

Sitting on DD1's bed at bedtime, her tucked up:

"DD1, I love you so, so much, and I think you are so special"

DD1: "Mummy....can you get off my covers, please?" Grin

Those loving moments, hey?

Mine goes round the house tagging things he wants to inherit.
Cut my hand whilst cooking and got ordered not to drip on the food. Grin

My DF "DD1, you will make Mummy cry if you do that..."

DD1 (looking around to me): "Go on. Cry! Why aren't you crying?"

"ds Daddy's going to work" --- "oh no ... the iphone is lost" (ie daddy took the iphone)

'ds it's bedtime say goodnight mummy' --- then 'kiss the iphone nigh-night'

'ds daddy's home, say hello daddy' --- "give me my iphone"

!

Grin Goblinchild -dd asked of she could do anything she liked with the house when it was hers. When I said she could she said "Yes!When you die I will have great fun!' Good job I don't take it personally Grin

Haha, mine can't wait for me to die he told me, cos then he could do what he liked and there'd be no rules.

kittyfu · 24/08/2010 11:01

my ds is always asking to go to the good house (nana's), cos he do'nt like it at the monster house.

ShadeofViolet · 24/08/2010 11:07

When I cut myself on a tin can DS1 asked if he could keep the bloody tissue Hmm

We just got a cute, playful kitten who actually likes playing with DCs.

DD: I wish I had a baby guinea pig to play with.

Me: We just got .

DD: So when dies, can we get a guinea pig?

DD It's good granny died because we got her car. What else did granny give us?

sc13 · 24/08/2010 12:40

This is brilliant. They've got us completely wrapped, don't they.
Nowadays, when I sing to him (which he used to love, sigh), DS will say 'Shut up mummy'. So DH told him 'Don't tell your mother to shut up, DS'. And DS 'Close your mouth mummy, really closed'. Logical, innit?

Chaotica · 24/08/2010 13:14

Another one: I was trying to help DD understand that other people get sad (when she takes their favourite toys, won't let them join in, hits them, accidently falls on them and so on). I tried to explain this in simple terms to DD then wanted to see if she'd understood.

Me: What other times might someone be sad?

DD(Looks confused): Three o'clock?

I guess not then Grin (serves me right for being ambiguous)

wasuup3000 · 24/08/2010 13:24

My ds loves me with all his heart and solar system

Spinkle · 24/08/2010 13:31

'I saw a film in bed at night. Like Toy Story 2'

I think he was trying to explain he had a dream.

sc13 · 24/08/2010 13:45

ds wanted me to clean his teeth the other day (at a not teeth cleaning time iyswim) so I asked him why...
"because my teeth are wet"
but your teeth are supposed to be wet, they're always wet
"but I don't want them wet, clean them, please"

oh and today...
"Mummy what number do you like best?"
18
"But 18 is too loud, it's just too much, you must have another one"

Chaotica · 24/08/2010 14:27

3Trees - Smile at the loud 18. I always find 19 to be a bit of a discord.

DD when younger used to say things like 'That sounds like chocolate.' 'That smells red.'

wasuup3000 · 24/08/2010 14:38

Ds's little brother has just said to DS " I have got a drink NAnanananh" and DS replied" I want one, I want a NAnananah"...
