DS is very into monkeys at the moment.

We bought him this from a service station coming back from Birmingham and "cleverly" I tracked down a spare from the internet only to not hide it very well. So now he has two.

And we went to Colchester Zoo the other day and the in-laws bought him another.

I can hardly see him in his cot any more so covered with monkeys is he.

Anyway, it was quite hot today and we were held up at the automatic doors coming out of B&Q. Ahead of us was a man with long-ish dark hair and very thick and curly back-hair wearing a skimpy vest.

DS's face lit up and he reached out to stroke him whilst piping up, "Oh hello, hello, hello monkey!"

He didn't hear him thankfully, but he felt the stroking, turned back and smiled.

We all had our heads down, grinned sheepishly and hurried away from the "monkey" then DD (10) started asking questions about how much human and ape DNA is shared.

"he felt the stroking" lol!!!! at least he smiled, I'd have been scared he'd turn round and lamp someone! Priceless.
