Dd2,3.6,is having a statutory assessment, she is very hypermobile, and has difficulty walking & is completely non-verbal,which as yet we have no dx for.
The educational psychologist is coming to our house tomorrow, what will she do/ask??

I'm guessing ( from what happened with Dds here ) is that she will do some kind of formal assessment of your Dd to get an idea of her level of function/understanding as she needs to consider what kind of help she will need to cope in a school setting.

I imagine she already has medical & SLT reports so knows a bit about what she is dealing with? Will probably also take a case history from you about your DD. As I understand it is not the Ed Psych's job to diagnose but rather to refer to other specialists if necessary - she is mainly there to make recommendations regarding schooling

In any case, your Dd will probably just think a nice lady with interesting toys came round for a chat & a bit of a play Smile
