i have now got my dla forms ready to send off for my ds who has hemiplegia... i downloaded the cerebra guide for assistance as i ahve been refused several times in the past, towards the end of the pack it gives info on what to expect if a doctor comes out to visit etc... this has made me not want to apply, i dont like those kind of situations..
just wondering do doctors actually come out to assess situation? i have had people telling me they only come for new claims, and someone said they dont come out for children and someone else told me they come out for renewals... Confused
does anyone know?
thanks

You can request a doctor to come out if you don't want to fill in the form fully, or they can elect to send a doctor, but I don't know how common that is.

I requested for them to send a doctor out to see ds1 as I am fed up of filling in the forms.

They didn't bother sending out a doctor & just requested a report from his school.
