DS has been diagnosed with ASD and started speech therapy but we have not recieved very much help and are now considering private speech therapy. I've looked on the inernet and some seem to specialize with children with autism. Has anyone done this in Hertfordshire and can recommend anyone.

Many thanks. xxx

We are in same part of Herts as you-we have fantastic speech therapist in Harpenden but she only does NHS work I think-but I will ask her when we see her in Sept-dont want to publish her name without checking first! have you been referred to the Childrens Centre in St Albans-we are under paed Dr Conlon and pushed for NHS SALT via him-my DS is on autistic spectrum but main issues are salt related and he has moderate verbal dyspraxia. Once we were in the system, it was fine but took a while to get there-how old is your DS?

My DS is 3.10 he has had some speech therapy but it really doesn't seem enough for him so I wanted to look into some privately. Let me know when you can about your speech therapist, oddgirl.

Thanks StarlightMcKenzie I will look into that too.

xx
