Had little sleep tuesday because I was worried about appointment. Noticed some noise from ds but didn't intervene.

Went to bed at 11pm yesterday leaving dh in charge. Dh came up about 1am so I listen for ds in bed until 5am when I get up.

At 1.20 the noise started, I should have got up then but I'm exhausted so let it go.

When I finally went in at 2am he has a routine established and can't/won't stop it.

So added to the running and skipping he is now jumping off the bed and the chest of drawers as well as swinging from the door frame.

I went backwards and forwards til 4am and then got up because I was the only one awake because of it.

Today I will remove the drawers and put the mattress on the floor not sure how I will sort the door frame though.Any ideas?

Oh give me strength

Oh and he is still doing it

Barbed wire? Electric fence?

Sorry, it sounds terrible. The only thing I can think of is a mitred strip of beading (wood that is chamfered) from somewhere like wickes, that you could tack on above the architrave, then there would be nowhere to grip. At the moment, your DS will have about 10mm of architrave depth to grip.

Sorry ASDx2 I have no advice - I hope things are better tonight.

Well he has run and jumped all day even after having no sleep last night so I am hoping he'll settle tonight. He must have run the equivalent of two marathons since 1am
The furniture is out and there is double sided sticky tape (hates sticky) over the door frame until dh can sort the beading. He's furious so have given him a wide berth to calm down so we'll see.

Clever thinking about the sticky tape. I hope the beading works for you
