such as 'fucktard' because it is 'really cool swearing' (yet another thank you to aibu) care that my 3 year son was called a retard this morning, by a bunch of infant aged children?

Or is it just not their problem?

Infants? Unbelievable. What good vocabulary they have....

Appalling. Just appalling. Shameful, in fact.

Nah, not their problem, I guess.

yup a couple local kids & their preschool brother - ds was feeding the chickens. Their (the brother's) mum was standing about 10 meters away. This is the family who shouted at me to 'shut the fucking douchebag up' when ds fell over & screamed. Should I be grateful that he only got called retard this time?

When my dd was in school I used to hate collecting her because the kids would inevitably start mimicking ds (he was 2.5 at the time) - the kids were 8-9. I wish it was unbelievable.

They are completely vile people obviously - but why is it chavy when they use retard/douchebag/brat but it is cool, funny swearing when someone how is apparently not complete scum uses it? Would their children call ds a retard.

Sounds a delightful neighbourhood. I think some people no matter what you say to them will never get it. Try to not react to them and hold your head high.

Thats awful, i caught a couple of children from my road pulling faces and shouting similar through the window the other day at my ds. I went down to their mother and told her exactly what her darling children were doing.

Am rather lucky my ds is none the wiser. I don't know why anybody would be so bloody crule.

I think the posters concerned probably intended it as a contraction of "fucking bastard"

but sorry about your son, that's vile (if IMO unrelated)
