Blossomhill · 23/08/2005 23:02

Hi JM

I am ok thanks. Just feeling a bit low atm, you know how it is. Dd is not having a good week and it takes its toll. It's a shame as we had a lovely week away.

How are things with you?

spursmum · 23/08/2005 23:03

Yep Misdee go me addicted to here!!! I have no hope for my sanity!

misdee · 23/08/2005 23:06

i've been addicted for errrrrrrr 3years now. it gets worse.

spursmum · 23/08/2005 23:08

DON'T TELL ME THAT!!! It's only been a couple of months and I'm already on at least once a day.

jayzmummy · 23/08/2005 23:10

Gawd knows!! Misdee but the more I read, the more frightened I am
I phoned the consultants secretary yesterday and asked how long we would likely to be waiting and she is sure we will have an appointment before christmas.
I know the consultant is well peed off with me because the CP we saw has written to him with a long list of recommendations...testing J for Fragile X, TS etc...he hates to be "told" what to do by outside professionals.

jayzmummy · 23/08/2005 23:10

Ummm well its Blossoms fault I am here!!!!
At least MN keeps me company during the small hours whilst J is watching Mr Bean!!!!

misdee · 23/08/2005 23:11

this isnt the nasty paed is it?

i have a feeling iwill be fobbed off next month.

Blossomhill · 23/08/2005 23:12

I met a little girl with TS today at the sn play scheme I go too. Her mum was amazing. Apparently white patches on skin are a sign but this little girl started having seizures from about 3 months too.

I know but aren't you glad JM ?

I am seriously trying to get someone to block mumsnet from my pc. Been on here about 18 months now and waste far too much time on here!

J has absences that we are waiting to see the Pead about....but like I said it will be before christmas hopefully.
DH is hoping that once J starts school the school doc will step in and push things along a bit.

misdee · 23/08/2005 23:18

He starts in Sept at teh special school. just part time to start off with then hopefully after an initial integration period he will be there full time. Head think that by Oct half term we should have cracked it and got him in full time.

Im dreading the first morning that he has to go because a taxi is coming to collect him and I have got to pop him in the taxi and then walk away I just know he is going to kick off!!!!

Blossomhill · 24/08/2005 16:30

Hi BH

I'm still here, but busy preparing to go Camping on Sunday to Lake Garda. Admittedly we are going to home from home tents (they even have frilly curtains - thats not like home btw!!)

Glad to hear that you had a good holiday. I think it is always something of an anti climax when you get back from having a great time. We had a lovely holiday in Greece in May and whilst we were there (dh was relaxed, ds1 had a great time too and ds2 seemed to come out of himself for a while) we seemed to exist in our own little bubble. When you get back home, unfortunately you realize very quickly that its `business as usual'

I am looking forward to my ds2 starting mainstream nursery in September - I am, nonetheless, very apprehensive as he cant talk or walk etc.. but I am sure it will do him good being amongst lots of other littlies and it will definitely give me a small break from the normal routine

Take Care of Yourself - I am sure this board will be buzzing come September!

jayzmummy · 25/08/2005 10:51

There are quite a few who havent posted lately...hope you are all OK and that your not staying away.

Blossom you know that you will be really missed around here. I saw that you are thinking of blocking MN. Take care....and please stay in touch.

dottee · 25/08/2005 16:39

Just to say I'm still here but I'm keeping off MN this week to stay clear of the 'debate(s)'. Hope everyone is well. We're getting through the school holidays nicely although dd (now a teenager) certainly knows her own mind this summer.

IMO when you're dealing with a SN child and whatever else life throws at you, you look at life differently and the things that used to upset you seem trivial IYSWIM.

Hope everyone else is well. Will catch up with you all soon. x

coppertop · 25/08/2005 18:06

Helloooo! I haven't been on MN for a few days as things have been a bit hectic at home. Hopefully things will calm down a bit when ds1 is back at school and ds2 starts pre-school.

Davros · 25/08/2005 19:22

Hello, I'm around but don't get much time each time I look at MN. I know a few people are away. Where is Choc btw, anyone know?
Christie, I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about, they are lucky to get you.
