Just listened to this (60 mins long) and it was such a good interview. If you click on here and scroll to the bottom where it says Tony Attwood.

I was in tears listening to it as a lot of it was very close to home.

Amazing man!

Somewhere in this madhouse we call home I have got a set of videos that are of Tony Attwood giving a seminar.
It takes about 4 hours to watch but is in 30 minute sessions. If I can dig them out do you want to borrow them Blossom?
It will not be until after the holidays have finished that I will have time to find them.....I have a feeling they may be in the attic????

doesnt he come over here and give talks about aspergers syndrome, cos i would be very interested in attending one, especially if he can explain things for me and DS

JM - that would be so great if you could. Thanks xxxxxx

All of these disorders overlap so much though and dd does and always has done the imaginative play and has empathy. However there are lots of AS things she does match!

I wonder what Tony Attwood would make of dd?

I think the reason I was so upset is that he was saying how hard these children try to fit in. Imagine the spectrum being of vision he said. At one end you have the children that really cannot socialise and don't want to and they are "blind". Then the person with AS so badly wants to but can't, they need glasses to help but we don't have any to give them.

Hope that makes sense, if it doesn't listen to the interview .
