We won our Tribunal.

We got everything that we wanted, SALT, OT, 1:1 LSA, everything.

Can't find words to describe how happy I am!

My child now finally has the same opportunities as other children to learn. Nothing more, nothing less.

But I am so very angry that I had to fight so hard and it has taken so long to get what my child should have had as of right!

So to all Tribunal goers, you can do it! Go Kick LA Ass!

Ah But! The Coalition Government Green Paper on SEN, due to be published in the Autumn will probably solve the problem of SENDIST buckling under the sheer weight of appeals by radically overhauling the SEN system, doing away with Statements and SENDIST but of course, it will all be in the best interest of our children, won't it?

I am beginning to wonder if I am just paranoid, or if "The System" really is out to get special needs children!

(It all comes down to cost. SN children COST!And in this "age of austeriy" nobody, least of all Local Authorities and PCTs want to foot the bill)

The Lamb Report changed nothing, as evidenced by all the Tribunal goers on here...

So even after my victory, I live in fear of what will happen next to the Special Educational Needs system, particularly if the Academies Bill goes through.
