One week on and the weighted blanket is complete after 4 reels of cotton and one broken needle later! lol

Thank you so much Lougle for the pattern, if i do say so myself it looks amazing, as if i had bought it. My son loves it as i used his favourite star wars duvet cover. Sad i know but i really enjoyed making it, even though there were a few tantrums near the end when the blanket got heavier and heavier!! So glad i made one as only cost £20 to make.

Wont be making another one in a hurry though as was up late every night lol

Once again thank you

Yay! I think that it makes it so much more successful when it is your hard work that calms your child

TG, when I did it, it took a good while. But I'd never used a sewing machine since school. I reckon if you were using bulk-cut fabric then it could be done in a few hours. But with the materials cost of around £20, to cover your time would be pushing it up to at least £50 even if you paid yourself minimum wage.

Over all it took about 16-18 hours but ended up with aching back as didnt have a big enough table to cut, pin and tack on. If had the space would make it into a small business but not sure how long before the novelty wore off lol. However it did pass the time while husband was on the playstation lol
