If you have strong concerns about the way the school, head and SENCO are dealing with a child with SEN (not your own child) is there someone you can make an anonymous complaint to that will have some effect?

I think your LEA will have a SEN team - should be details on the council website - on ours its called something like Children and Young Peopls Services - they may be a starting point?

Please take the name of the person who is handling the complaint. You need not give your name but they should. Also time and date. If something happens to this child, you want that lodged.

Not sure about this bit so maybe someone can clarify it - if you mention the child by his/her name, does the incident than become part of data under Data Protection Act which the parents can access?
