Following on from a previous thread where it was noted how DLA letters come on a saturday...i got my decision today from them regarding my own award which they had originally terminated...and i am relieved to say they have changed their mind...and my dla continues.

So thansk to those on here that suggested i request the 'reconsideration' instead of the 'appeal' that i was about to do...

also regarding leigh's dla- 1st application...again had to request a reconsideration following theyr non-award.... well they have let me know they have requested info from the consultant...so one way or the other there should be news on that claim in the next month.(our paed is quite quick to return dla forms)

Good news Mrs F

Hope you get the same result with Leigh's application.

Hurray! Good news, MrsF.

Good luck with Leigh's application too. I'm still waiting to hear about ds2's claim. They sent me a letter about a month ago to apologise for the delay. Hmmm.....

Just back from holiday so I've just seen this. Great news Mrs F, just shows how you have to push these people to get a fair decision. Good luck with Leigh's too - I've just heard that they're giving me till 26th Sept to get my additional evidence in, which is more than they'd said in the beginning. Fingers crossed for both of us!

Yes, fingers crossed all round MrsF and Karen. It's such an outrage that we have to fight for this little bit of help.

Hugs and all the good cyber luck I can send!

It was about 6 weeks since I sent Amelia's application in so I am awaiting our fate too!
