Just dropped dd2 off at school for a afternoon, so proud of her.

Dd2 has a afternoon taster session at school, i dressed her in her school uniform (summer dress) to try and get her to understand that she will be starting school in september. She ran straight in and sat down with the reception and year ones on the carpet and then waved me goodbye.

I never thought the day would come where she could sit still on a carpet let alone sit that close to other children without covering her ears and humming. Dressed in her summer dress she just looked like one of the older children and she looked so relaxed.

I though she was going to cry when they said 'say goodbye to your mummy's', but she stood up, looked at me, waved, smiled and sat back down.

So proud of her and how far she has come over the past year. Lets hope she has a good afternoon. Now i need to keep busy until its time to pick her up at 3.30.

That's great Marne - I remember some of your past posts, and she's come along beautifully, hasn't she

Thank you so much. You are welcome to join me in being proud .

She's doing so well, i just hope that the school do all the things they say they are going to do. I'm worried as a lot of the support she has been getting at nursery (ABA, music therapy etc..) will stop next week.

thats amazing! dead chuffed for you

Yay, she done really well, luckily her portage worker stayed with her, dd2 fell over in the playground, her portage worker knew how to make her stop crying (by giving her some number/letter work indoors) and dd2 was fine. She's a little bit grumpy now she's home but i guess she is tired due to going to nursery and school today.

Glad it went well

expect her to be offy, shell be worn out.
Mind you may get away with it.. Fingers crossed for you.

I wish i could ask her how it went (she only answers very simple questions using yes and no and doesn't really understand what today was about). I have to go by what her sister tells me and by the sounds of it she doesn't know how she got on other than the fact she fell over, she did say she had been good .
