it is my birthday (and wedding anniversary, actually!)

and I have had a lovely day, thanks to the LA settling earlier in the year

dd1 sang happy birthday to me (albeit prompted!) when we got to school, and handed over (reluctantly - she wanted to open it!) a present that was most definitely lovingly crafted by her own fair hands (a work of art it ain't )

she has now come home, inspected all my cards, and asked where the cake is - definitely beginning to understand some social situations then!

I really can't believe how far she has come - I hope everyone who has an upcoming tribunal gets the result they deserve and have fought for

Thats fantasic - so glad that things have turned out so well for you all. Enjoy the rest of your day together, and then a big glass of something chilled from the fridge to celebrate - you are an inspiration to all of us who are still at the fighting stage and wondering if it gets us anywhere!

Go Silverfrog!! Happy anniversary and birthday and good for you for getting through all this and staying kind of sane!!

Congrats Silverfrog! I heard today that LA have changed their mind about refusal to assess so now I don't have to go to tribunal either (yet). Enjoy the rest of your day.

thanks, everyone.

dd2 made me laugh today - she was very keen to hear it was my birthday (she is 3, NT).

so, after we took dd1 to school, we came home and she announced we needed to go to the shops.

"why, d2?"

"because I need to get you a birthday cake. a chocolate one, for you to blow (candles). with buttons on. you can share it with me if you want"

oh, and then she made off with any of my cards that had a hint of pink or glitter on them

That's lovely silverfrog

Congratulations, I'm pleased that your LA saw sense and didn't leave a tribunal hanging over you.
