how do I go about getting a private occupational therapist appointment for ds?

I'm convinced he has sensory processing disorder or at least some integration problems. He's been referred to see an OT but the waiting list is 6 months and we wanted some help before he goes to school next september. Have no idea how to find a good OT who works privately though. We live in Cambridgeshire and googling turns up nothing really

You could try this as a starting point. Call a few (if you are lucky enough to fidn a few paed ones) and discuss what each can offer.
