Well, just the question really. I know you can have private lessons with Dyslexia Action, but at £38 a week, where as Kumon is £50 a month. I have the lady coming to assess him next week and she says it would help.

He is making good but slow progress at school, but his main issue is confidence with reading and writing and I hear Kumon is good for this.

I think that if you know that your child is dyslexic then you are going to have proper dyslexic tuition from Dyslexia Action.

Kumon is not a programme that is designed for dyslexic children, it may well help your child, any extra tuition will help, but it is not going to be dyslexic specific.

I think they are two different things and you can't expect to get the same outcome from them.

However, if you just want it to build on his confidence then Kumon may help for the moment.
