So is this worth mentioning- behaviour by specialist teacher towards ds1- or not?

O context:

DS1 has a specialist teacher put in by SLD provision for his dyslexia; she is not an asd specialist but ds1 happens to have ASD & dyslexia if that makes sense? She is not statement provided, LEA offered her services from October until March several hours a week.

DS1 has been upset ver the last few weeks and it seems to partly stem from an incident regarding said teacher.

Bascially DS1 was stimming as per suual (saying cheeeeesy mainly, he says he limits in school langaugae now to cheesy and uh-uh).

She said 'I need to take a minute here' and went outside but crucially forgot to cose the dorr as she pulled at her hair quiet-yelling arrgghhhh.

I need t verify this with him to make sure but if it did happen is it worth mentioning or not? SENCO lady is fab, btw, and would understand.

I would mention - fully understandable that she might feel she needs to 'pull her hair out', but if your DS saw this it is unacceptable and she needs to be more professional/discreet about venting her frustration.

Speak to the senco, and clear up any misunderstanding, on the basis that DS is upset and how can you move him forward, rather than a criticism of the teacher involved.

I have a good relationship with this school so hope I can just mention it.

I've pulled my hair out on maaany an occasion (once literally- ow) but not in front of DS and I am not paid to do this after all. Well carers allowance.

There's an IEP on the 12th, I need to find if she will be there perhaps?

Quite right that she is being paid to do her job. I'd raise it before the 12th rather than letting your DS continue to fret.

Do you trust the senco to perhaps raise the issue discreetly? It needn't involve you, just that your DS has said these things - just making the teacher aware will probably be enough to make her more aware.
