Travel assistance transport

Hi all

I was hoping if anyone could provide clarity.

Ive been accepted for travel assistance and opted to drive and get special petrol allowance for my non verbal ASD child.

Im confused because ive been offered a straight line milege calculation, which isnt possible to physical drive, i know they use straight line distance to calculate eligibility but since been accepeted i thought it would be fairer the funded plan should be the actual milege undertaken?

Could anyone advise if this is misapplication of the eligibilty criteria to the actual journey milege?

Thanks in advance!

The LA is trying to pull a fast one. It shouldn’t be straight-line distance.

They shouldn’t be using straight-line distance for determine eligibility either.
