Ds7 was recently diagnosed with a mild permanent hearing loss in both ears which he is going to try to manage for now without hearing aids (teacher agrees he can sit at the front and she’ll make sure he sees new words in writing to support his understanding; if it doesn’t work we can opt for hearing aids at any time but there are pros and cons so with the audiologist’s input we decided to wait for now).
I explained it all to the class teacher (y3, state school) and she said if I want I can have a meeting with sendco
Should I? It seems a bit like overkill at this stage as we are monitoring if the new adjustments are adequate.
Also should ds be on the Sen register?
