Holiday with an autistic/ ADHD child

Hi, we're going on holiday during the summer break, our child has autism and ADHD, shes non verbal. Im wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to stop her escaping the caravan. Typical tactics aren't suitable as shes very determined when she wants to do something and moves around silently. At home we have a key safe and handle blocker to stop her escaping. But the caravans are twisty locks inside. Has anyone had this worry and how did you manage/ what was put in place. Im open to any suggestions, my mind is going ten times the dozen the closer its getting, considerations of sitting up through the night are the only solution I can think now

For overnight you could get a travel safety bed such as Safe Place bed.

You could use pressure sensor mats that alarm to alert you when DD is near the door(s) and an alarm for the door. You can fit portable door locks to some doors.

I've looked into the options you suggested, I will definitely be purchasing the pressure sensor mats, they are amazing and I will use them at home too, cant believe im only just hearing about them, but thanks so much x

Overnight, as well as near the caravan door(s), you can put one near the bedroom door or even next to DD’s bed to give you more time to react.
