My daughter has autism and is applying for jobs, she has applied for so many jobs and tried to hide her diagnosis but comes across as very awkward, quiet and shy. So many shops you go into these days and customer service is just non existent, you get ignored by staff at the till having their own conversations or just not listened to when you are telling them something. Shannon would never do that and she puts so much effort into everything she does, she has just finished her a levels and is predicted to get 2 x A* and an A. I just know she would do a fantastic job if someone would just give her a chance. My question is she has an interview scheduled with Tesco what should she say when they ask about adjustments? Also how can she make them understand that although she is autistic she will do an amazing job?
