School changed support during private EP observation for EHCP appeal

In process of an appeal for change of placement for EHCP. current mainstream school adamant they can 'meet needs' although we do not agree.
I paid for Private EP to asses him and part of this was going in to school to do an observation. School completely changed his usual timetable and did fun things, my child was very happy and had a great day. They also put in 1:1 that he doesn't normally get, despite it being on his EHCP, but on the day of the observation he got it all day. Has anyone experienced this before? really disappointed I paid a lot of money for this and was hoping to get an accurate view of his needs and struggles...

normally is shared with whole class as there is only 1 TA in the classroom. When I have asked for 1:1 to be implemented previously, the school have told me they don't believe my child needs it and that its also against their ethos as a school as it isn't inclusive...
My Childs main struggle is Maths so we arranged specifically for the EP to observe maths but instead they did drawing which is my Childs favourite thing to do. All the forms the school have also done for the EP totally minimise my Childs issues too.

It’s not unheard of, I’m afraid. If the EP is experienced, they will have come across this before. Speak to them. They should still be able to write a good report.
