Has anyone ever paid for a private educational psychologist report to help at tribunal please for post 16 placement please?
Also asked school for a witness statement but can they refuse ? I doubt il win with just my opinion ? Thanks
my sons in a mainstream but struggling. He has school refusal… not passed his GCSE’s and it’s just crazy :( I’m so scared for my son going to mainstream college :(

You are right that you need evidence. It is impossible to say for certain what further evidence you need because it depends on your case and what evidence you have, but yes, many look at independent EP reports.

You can ask the school for a witness statement. They may say no. At that point, you will have to decide whether it will help your case to request SENDIST issues a witness summons. If a witness attends the hearing, they have to write a witness statement if they haven’t already written a report. However, before going down the summons route, you need to think carefully about whether it will help your case or not. You should also be aware, SENDIST may not agree to a summons.
