Hi new here I just wanted some advice as ive filled out change of circumstances form for my son who was kicked out of school 2 years ago I have his ehcp from there with some proof of what hes still like only thing thats updated on there is hes no longer in education, hes got significantly worse so I have been honest in the forms, so do I still send the ehcp? As that's all the proof I have he hasnt seen a gp or hospital for 3 years so don't have that proof either any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks x

Yes, send the EHCP.

Do you really mean no longer in education? Or do you mean no longer in school? They are very different statements.

You say kicked out, is the LA making arrangements or are you EHE? If you aren’t EHE, do you not have evidence from whatever provision the LA is making?

If things are as you say and DS has had no professional input for 3 years, it sounds like you need an early review of the EHCP.

No he is no longer in education its called eotas, he has a company which is like mentoring which take him out 15 hours a week but I haven't even got proof of that tbh.... the ehcp makes me slightly uneasy as what ive reported on the forms doesnt state the same on the ehcp but I have made comments on the form confirming this

EOTAS/EOTIS is education. That is what the E stands for. Education Otherwise Than At/In School. The fact it isn’t in a school doesn’t mean it isn’t education. It is.

The content of the EOTAS package, which should be far more than 15hrs mentoring, should be set out in section F. It sounds like the EHCP is incredibly poor.

You could ask for a statement from any professional involved in delivering the EOTAS provision.
