Going to be submitting late evidence after the final evidence date

Hi,
We have a SEN tribunal in future, final evidence date is in a few month. We know we will have late evidence as a assessment can't be completed until after the final evidence date.
I need to know the exact way to do this. Ive googled and know about the SEND7 form and I have read you have to ask the LAs permission in advance and let them know you will have late evidence (type) and when it will be submitted.
But how do you do this, do I just email my LA officer and say I will be submitting a .......report around end of April, after the final evidence date. I will send this to the tribunal officer with a send7, cc LA officer in.
Or is there a specific wording, legal terms I need to use?
Thank you in advance.

Fill in the SEND7 form. You will also sometimes see this called a Request for Change (RfC) form. You don’t need to use specific wording. You can put e.g. “Request to submit late evidence - X report recently available to inform the WD.”

Seek the LA’s views. You don’t need to seek the LA’s permission, you need to seek their views. Even if they disagree or don’t reply within 5 working days you can still submit to SENDIST.

Once you have sought the LA’s views, you send the SEND7 form including the LA’s response and evidence to SENDIST copying in the LA.

Before the final evidence deadline you can write a position statement. In this you can state you awaiting further evidence from X which you will have by Y.
