Period pants for incontinence back-up?

A tween girl with an overactive bladder needs to go on a longish journey and is worried she might have an accident. Previously she would wear pullups under these circumstances. Would period pants be a suitable alternative? I think they might help her feel more dignified and less self-conscious.

I’m not sure how well period pants would work for holding urine. Have you looked at reusable incontinence pants?

The ones I’ve seen looked like what they were IYSWIM. Period pants look like pants.

You can get reusable incontinence pants that look like pants.

For example, these, these, these and these. I have linked to 2 girl’s products and 2 women’s products because I don’t know DD’s size. Just random examples from google but there are others.
