Weighted hoodies - are they worth it?

My daughter is Asperger and sensory. She has asked for some weighted hoodies. The two links she has sent me - they are over £70 each!

I am happy to spend the money if they are as good as they say they are, but has anyone got any recommendations?

Many thanks.

If you ask around at a parent carer group someone may have one they are willing to let you try. Some areas have lending libraries. If your area does, they might have one you can try. If not, I would get one to try first before buying a second if they work.

My DC didn’t like weighted hoodies, jackets or vests. They preferred blankets, lap pads and weighted toys.

You can’t wash them in the washing machine which put me off buying one

That depends on the weighted hoodie. The one we tried could go in the washing machine. You took the weights out, washed it, then replaced the weights.
