Phone ban on school trip

Hi, my child is on a trip overseas and is not allowed their phone overnight. They have ADHD and need white noise to regulate. I let them sleep with it. I’ve had messages saying they cannot sleep and the teachers are making them feel like they should not have gone. Do you think they should make adjustments in this case?

I don’t think the school is ever going to allow phones in bedrooms on school trips. 16 or not. Too much of a risk. The reasonable adjustment would be to allow white noise via other means, IMO.

It's probably too late now but getting an ipod or walkman might help. Maybe you could order over Amazon and have it delivered to their hotel.

My opinion remains the same, the reasonable adjustment is to allow DD to have white noise via other means rather than a phone. If phones are being allowed in bedrooms in unlocked pouches, there are big problems IMO.

Too late now, but I also cannot sleep without white noise and I have this which is a life-saver!

It's actually better than white noise on a phone as I used to find it sometimes cut out in the middle of the night, which woke me up.
