Forgot to bring Melatonin on UK based holiday

My DD takes melatonin each night. It doesn’t help her sleep through but has been amazing in giving her a bedtime routine.
problem is we’ve come away today and forgotten to pack it.
What are the chances of us getting a prescription for whilst we’re away? Do we call our GP or just suck it up for the week and reintroduce when we get back?

There are a few options. If you are in England and the melatonin is on repeat prescription, you could use the 111 emergency prescription service. (I think there is a slightly different emergency prescription service in Wales via certain pharmacies if you have a repeat prescription. Not sure about Scotland or NI.) Or you could call your GP and ask the. To send a prescription to a pharmacy near where you are on holiday. Or you could register DD as a temporary patient at a GP surgery near where you are and see if they are willing to prescribe.

Doesn't help you now, but I always keep a pack in my makeup bag as this is my nightmare!

Thanks @flawlessflipperi didn’t even think of 111! I’ve called them and they’ve given me the number for a prescribing pharmacist so fingers crossed!
@Needlenardlenooit has been a nightmare! Change of scene, sleep routine gone and now no sleep! It was never going to be a relaxing break but this is next level! Xx
