I’m in Australia and you may have heard the govt is trying to combine special schools with mainstream schools.
I attended the premiere of the movie Unlocking the potential: The vital role of specialist education.
The principal of Emerson School Mr John Mooney PSM OAM spoke about changing someone’s lot in life from “potentially being a welfare recipient to a taxpayer.”
I like many of you all, have people dear to me with special needs. If you are like me you will directly relate to this movie.
Warning - it will make you laugh and it will make you cry. The preview clip for the film is below. It’s currently being toured on the international award circuit having won 14 awards already (including Cannes).
