Any recommendations for how to find cheapest way to fill new ADHD prescription

DC newly diagnosed with ADHD. Private Dr has sent me the prescription. (See below).

I’ve not been here before so any recommendations on getting the prescription filled would be appreciated please. Dr said I may need to ring round to find out which pharmacy can get it in. Dr also said every pharmacy charges wildly different prices so also bear that in mind.

HELP! Totally overwhelmed. What should I do?!

You just have to ask around. Starting with who has stock before you move on to price.

Our private psychiatrist suggested that supermarket pharmacies can ve the cheapest but you do have to shop around

I have not shopped around yet and was £48 per line item

Did you walk in or call the pharmacy?

Walk in so they could see the prescription.

Oh and if that's your postcode in your user name i am not far from you.

I was hoping the asda on the A3 at Roehampton might be reasonable

I would call. Saves you trips to multiple pharmacies.

I regularly call around pharmacies to find stock when our normal pharmacy doesn’t have something in stock/can’t get it. Boots have an online stock checker.

By way of update
those prescriptions become invalid after 28 days
by sheer luck I took it to the pharmacy today….
Asda - not enough stock to issue today
boots - ditto
pearl chemist - bingo! £77 tho!

and this took up 2 1/2 hours of my time too.

now to fill 2nd DC px!

I got mine at pearl too.

Will update when I get a refill. We couldnt start some due to heart test results.
