Hi
My school emailed all ehcp parents together (their email ids are visible to me) asking them to pick slots to do Annual review for thie children. I have been in this school for 12 years and put 2 sen kids through this school and have never seen such gross negligence. I can identify atleast half of those kids and parents. I had to inform the school about the error they had made. I plan to escalate this properly with school being held accountable. What action can I take so this never ever happens again?

You can follow the school’s complaints process.

Once you have a response from the school, you could report to the ICO.

You can also ask the school if they have reported themselves to the ICO.

Not condoning it, but it may well be considered negligence rather than gross negligence.

This is a GDPR breach and the Head should be your first contact. I’m guessing it’s been sent by the SENCO or the office admin team.
Doesn’t bode well for an individual approach either.
Others may have complained too.

They should report themselves to the ICO.

However it is so easily done to put things in the 'to' or 'copy' rather than 'bcc' (or at least used to be). There should be software in place to stop mailing lists being used anywhere other than bcc without 'are you really really sure' prompts.
