First time posting and looking for some advice.

My daughter is autistic and got diagnosed at 2. She is now 7 and we suspect adhd. We have reached out to our GP who advised waiting list is over 3 years, based in Glasgow, Scotland. I understand other cities can be longer however, 3 years is just too too long. I have recently heard that if you go back to the original child development centre, who done the initial asd assessment, they could refer and reduce the wait. Is this true? I believe adhd is assessed by cahms so just a little confused. Also wondering if it’s worth going private and if anyone recommends any in the area who does face to face appts. Some private clinics would assess if child is fully conversational? Thanks in advance and appreciate any information.

No help with the local info or scottish aspect as we are in London but if you can afford it go private.

However do research on who to choose. Peadatricians, psychologists and psychiatrists can all diagnose here.
