Hello All,

I'm currently looking for a new school for my 7 year old, with serve speech delay and a diagnosis of ASD. He has an EHCP. We live in South West London.

Does any of you have any feedback/ personal experiences on Blossom House School?

or have any specialist provision recommendations from personal experiences?

Thanks!

Blossom House generally has a good reputation. You could also look at Meath.

If your son’s main need is speech and language blossom house could be a good bet. Bear in mind though he will be following a very adapted curriculum (they are not very transparent about this but the reality of blossom is that the vast majority of kids will never do a gcse) so if you think he may be more academically able, you’ll need tutors on the side.

Also only go for motspur park, not euston. They say both sites offer the same but it’s not.

It has a good reputation but local councils will resist paying for it if they possibly can. Richmond, for instance, now likes to nominate Capella House, which is also for children with communication difficulties.
