My son is in Year 8 in a mainstream secondary, with an EHCP and significant TA support. He has ASD and ADHD and school are finding it difficult to manage his behaviours, as he seems to become overwhelmed and disregulated, and has sensory issues. We are looking for specialist provision, but finding it difficult to find a suitable school, as he can access the mainstream curriculum. Any suggestions would be appreciated / we are in South Manchester/Cheshire East. Thanks

Have you looked at Alderwasley Hall (Derbyshire), Church Lawton (Cheshire East - it is a bit marmite, parents love it or hate it but their academic pathway offers GCSEs) and West Kirby school (Wirral)?

Thanks, will have a look. We are ideally hoping to find somewhere nearer or in south Manchester.

That is unlikely if you want a specialist school who can cater for pupils able to access a full national curriculum.
