School/Location Advise near Berwick upon tweed

I'm looking to relocate to near Berwick Upon Tweed, in England not the Scottish Borders. I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations of where to live.
Our needs are really based around a location near a School that would be good for DS with autism, state school not fee paying.
Any recommendations would be very welcome. Thank you.

Are you looking for a mainstream school or a special school? What age?

Does DS have an EHCP? If not, for in-year admissions, you will be limited to the schools that have in year places. Moving close to a school doesn’t always mean you will be offered a place. This is especially important if DC is reception/KS1 where infant class size limits apply and appeals are less likely to be successful.
