Autism diagnosis (PDA profile) age 10 DD

Hello via the RTC scheme we've just had a diagnosis of autism for my daughter. The consultant paediatrician was amazing and was on the teams for almost three hours taking a full history. The ADOS showed clear autistic traits.

Although the school questionnaire showed less traits there were some identified.

DD masks at school, she's shy in situations and I imagine was very shy in the ADOS (this was face to face). The consultant spoke to my daughter for about 15 mins before me and DH were essentially asked lots of questions about DD.

I just feel really really confused in that I am second guessing everything but I know it's clear she's demand avoidant, we walk on eggshells, low demand and role playing really work for her. She has sleep anxiety and the consultant has suggested pursuing an ADHD diagnosis too,

Why am I questioning it all when it's all clear?

What you are feeling can be normal. Even if you are expecting the diagnosis, it can bring mixed feelings.

Thank you @BrightYellowTrain I mean we are/have been living with it but it's so hard to accept but at the same time I'm just naturally falling into next steps and what we should do has best.

I'm researching like crazy! And feel that so much is around anxiety with this profile and reducing anxiety but we are on eggshells!
