Can anyone recommend an ADHD private assessment clinic in London?

I'm looking for reviews and don't know where to start!

We've been on NHS waiting list for 3 years in our area and we can't wait any longer.

Any recommendations for a private clinic?

Are ASD and ADHD assessed separately or can be the same day? We are unsure exactly what ND our child has but suspect either or..

Thank you!

Dr Maite Ferrin is excellent.

ASD and ADHD are separate assessments, but some providers will assess for both in one long appointment.

We used the ADHD Centre and they were excellent. They can do in person in London (and other places) but we did it all online. Make sure to get a place where they can diagnose and then prescribe/titrate. Check if your GP will take on Shared Care. The costs can mount up with diagnosis, plus monthly appointments and £100-150 per month private meds on top until you can transfer back to NHS.

Some people local to me have been talking about right to choose assessments which have only 12 weeks waiting times... see here: https://adhduk.co.uk/right-to-choose/ and also autism here: https://www.caudwellchildren.com/changing-lives/how-we-can-help/autism-services/autism-assessments/
There are possibly other options too as it seems like lots of services are coming on stream to deal with the NHS backlog?

We've been waiting so long it's becoming quite urgent now - so I need to get the assessment done within the next month or so - I'll look at right to choose thank you

We use the Child & Family Practice in Bloomsbury.

Just a heads up that it can be a couple of months for an appointment even going privately. Part of that is because they will want to send out questionnaires to school, parents and others in advance and have the results back in.

This is true. Even discounting the time questionnaires etc. lots of private providers have a waiting list.

I really feel for you. We were in the same boat, stuck on a waiting list for what felt like forever, and eventually just couldn’t wait any longer. It’s such a draining place to be when you know you need support but nothing’s moving.
We went with Private Psychiatry for an ADHD assessment and saw Dr Bruna. She was incredibly kind, thorough, and genuinely made me feel heard for the first time in a long while. The whole process was smooth and professional, and being able to do everything online was a huge help. If it’s useful, their website is www.privatepsychiatry.co.uk.
Really hope you find the right support soon. It made a world of difference for me.

Dr claire scott - developmental peadatrics does both but the ados will need more external input than her one multi disciplinary assesment. So that costs more on top. Eg SALT and OT at home / school.

She is a consultant community peadtrician and therefore helps with the scaffolding and project management around what's needed etc.
