Looking to make dd(5) a sensory bedroom on a budget to help her have a place to feel calm. I've no idea to start, so maybe some pictures of realistic rooms on realistic budgets would help me!

I know she needs a floor bed as she rolls out. Just not sure whether to go for a double or single. Maybe a single with cushions around it, so she has more space to play.

If you're short of space, a cabin bed / mid-sleeperwith storage space underneath might make more sense. They have sides.

Beanbag chairs, weighted blankets, giant yoga ball, lava lamp. . . Lots of things you could spend lots of money on, but much depends on your child's specific sensory needs - and how much money you have and what stuff you already have!

I've never heard the term "sensory bedroom", but both my kids have rooms that reflect yheir different sensory profiles.
