My daughter is 4 and I tend to use the disabled toilet with her when out and about for a number of reasons;
• She find enclosed spaces like a small little cubicle really stressful, and if she's freaking out in one it becomes very overwhelming very quickly. I've been knocked over by her a few times, because she freaks out and jumps on me, and if I'm already crouched down, I'm easy to knock over 😂
• If and when someone uses the hand dryer she freaks out, she can be mid wee and someone uses it she will jump up immediately weeing all over herself and me.
• She will often withhold going to the toilet all together in a public toilet because all the noise and small spaces is too much for her, then she will have an accident not long after wards.
anyway we were at a country park earlier today, I took her to the toilet twice during our time there, both times she withheld dispite drinking a lot because of the heat, there was no disabled toilet, I debated putting a nappy on her but I'm worried about ruining her potty training progress so we waited till she got home, but why no disabled toilet, and what's even crazier, this park has a wheelchair accessible swing and roundabout but no toilet 🫠 Make it make sense.
