What happens if no one is named by summer hols?

My daughter is 4 and due to start school in September this year, at the moment she has no school named in her EHCP it just says

"Ivy attends a private day nursery"

in section I, there's no school named for September. Quick run down, her EHCP states mainstream but I know it's not suitable and 5 mainstream schools have been consulted including the one she was allocated during normal school placements and they've all said no.

we named a specialist provision within a mainstream school who have said yes but the local authority won't place her there because her EHCP says mainstream.

that issue has gone back to panel today to hopefully be changed 🤞🏻 but I haven't yet heard the outcome of that.

my question is if the issue isn't resolved by the time the schools break up again in July what happens? We've got 7 weeks to negotiate her a place otherwise no more schools can be consulted because no one will be there?

she's running the risk of missing transfer day, and the opportunity to meet her teachers before she starts, I can't buy uniform yet and what not, she needs the opportunity to ease into this next step as she's quite severely autistic and I fear without this transition period she's going to meltdown.

has anyone been in a similar position and can shed light?

Have you appealed?

The LA may still name a school during the summer holidays.

Yes appeal is set for September

Many SENCOs do work during the holidays so you maybe fine! If a school is consulted they have a finite time to respond. If , for some reason, they don't respond within this time, it is assumed that they have agreed to the placement.
I have had two placement consults so far this holiday, I have responded to both! I can guarantee I will get more over the summer.
Transition days may well be an issue however as these are generally arranged for well before the end of term as the last week or so can be manic! You might be able to arrange a visit to the agreed school before starting, at the very least the vast majority will have an INSET day before the children will start back. I know it's not ideal but it might be possible.
